The Clara Green Quartet-
Clara Green is a Swedish singer-songwriter and performer living and working in London.
Growing up in Stockholm, Sweden, Clara began her musical education early, performing solo and singing in choirs from the age of six. At the age of 10, Clara was accepted at the internationally acclaimed Adolf Fredrik's Music School in Stockholm, and subsequentially also accepted as a member of the Adolf Fredrik's Girls' Choir.
After being immersed in the classical and choral world in Stockholm, Clara moved to London in 2005 to complete a degree in Jazz vocals at Middlesex University, under the tutelage of many prominent UK jazz musicians; such as Nikki Iles, Stuart Hall and Chris Batchelor.
Clara was a long term member of Pete Churchill's London Vocal Project since it's founding in 2008. As part of this eclectic ensemble, she partook in many interesting musical projects and collaborations with musicians such as Kenny Wheeler, Norma Winstone, Cleo Laine and Bobby Mc Ferrin.
As a solo vocalist, Clara has her own songwriting project, with which she released EP 'On The Run' in October 2014.
Clara Green has recently started an exciting new jazz collaboration with a dynamic quartet consisting of rising star pianist Bruno Heinen, sought after double bassist Andrea Di Biase and fantastic drummer Riccardo Chiaberta.
The Clara Green Quartet combine interesting reimaginings of traditional Swedish folk songs with innovative arrangements of jazz standards. The group have a particular link to the legacy of legendary pianist Bill Evans, and his collaborations with vocalists.
